AR Success

Check to make sure the book you plan to read is part of the AR program.  Go to arbookfind.com to confirm BEFORE you read the book.  READ 30-45 MIN EVERY NIGHT!

AR goals are noted inside each student's AR folder. AR folders are used to track progress throughout each quarter and they are graded. Students are required to record their nightly reading and obtain a parent's/guardian's signature. AR folders are collected on Thursdays.

A special note to parents:

Although some reading happens at school, most reading will be homework.   Please encourage your child to read at home every night!

AR points are due the Friday before each quarter ends.  Many students need structure to meet the quarterly goal  (approximately 9 weeks).  Help your child set short-term goals for completion of each book.  Help your child find a quiet space and create a set schedule for your child to read.   Stay involved with book choices and engage your child in discussions about the books they are reading.
