Art 1 is a beginning level, semester and year-long course which focuses on the development of expressive, technical, and critical thinking skills.
The program is comprised of several components: art production, critique, and art history/cultural connections. The curriculum is structured around the CA Visual and Performing Art standards. Students will gain basic experience in drawing, color theory, painting, design, mixed-media, and sculpture.
